STC installs official in Aden by force of arms

ADEN, Feb. 27 (YPA) -Factions affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) have installed a loyalist official by force of arms in the city of Aden, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition.

Medical sources in the city reported that the STC’s members stormed the office of Abdullah Al-Qaisi, director of Physiotherapy and Prosthetics Center, and imposed one of their loyalists by force of arms, under the directive of the Aden Health Director, Ahmed Muthanna Al-Beishi, who is affiliated with the STC.

The sources added that the incident caused panic among the employees and disabled individuals, including children, women, and wounded individuals who were at the center.

Despite the directive of the Minister of Health in the pro-coalition government to continue the work of the general director of the center in Aden, as he was appointed by ministerial decision, the STC’s forces imposed their own official.

Meanwhile, employees and staff at the center in the Mansoura area organized a protest condemning the armed raid on the center and rejecting the decision of the health office director.

This comes as part of the STC’s regional policy to uproot employees loyal to the Islah Party and other southern components opposed to the Emirati presence in the city.
