South Africa submits urgent request to ICJ regarding attack on Rafah

SANAA, Feb. 13 (YPA) – The presidency of the Republic of South Africa said on Tuesday that it has submitted an urgent request to the International Court of Justice to consider the decision of the Zionist enemy entity to expand its military operations on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

It declared that it had asked the court to determine whether it was required to use its authority to prevent further violations of the rights of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Zionist attack on Rafah threatens with genocide in the presence of more than 1.5 million displaced people in the city.

The International Court of Justice confirmed on January 26 that the Zionist entity must take all the measures stipulated to prevent genocide in the Gaza Strip, stressing that it must do so immediately.
