Al-Sabiha tribes attack STC’s military convoy in Lahj

LAHJ, Feb. 08 (YPA) – Tribal tribes carried out an armed ambush targeting a military convoy belonging to the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions in Lahj province, southern Yemen.

Local sources in the province said that the “Al-Alqama” tribe, which is one of the branches of the Sabiha tribes, attacked a group consisting of several military vehicles of STC militias on their way to the areas of the “Al-Agbara” tribe, which belongs to the Sabiha tribes.

The sources stated that the members of STC were injured during the attack.

Many armed men from the Sabiha tribes gathered after the attack, amid the possibility of confrontations erupting between the two parties in the coming hours.

The STC factions take a hostile stance against the Sabiha tribes, which are one of the largest tribes in southern Yemen.
