China to provide Palestine with $ 15 million

SANAA, July 11 (YPA) – Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday announced that his country to provide 100 million yuan (15 million dollars) in aid to Palestine in support of economic development, according to Wafa News agency.

Xi’s remarks were made in a speech to the representative of Arab states at a meeting in Beijing, stressing that his country will provide grant aid worth 15 million dollars to Palestine.

The president noted that China will offer a further 91 million dollars in humanitarian assistance to Syria, Yemen and other nations ravaged by civil wars.

Beijing has stepped up its role in the Middle East in the past few years, with Arab countries, playing an important role in the Belt and Road initiative to establish trade routes linking east and west.
