Number of young men kidnapped, taken to unknown destination in Aden

ADEN, Jan. 20 (YPA) – Unknown elements believed to be affiliated with the UAE-backed  Southern Transitional Council  (STC) factions have reportedly abducted a number of young people from the Al-Wahda residential neighborhood in the city of Aden and took taking to an unknown location.

According to informed sources in the city, the armed elements wearing masks, arrived on Thursday evening in a “bus” and arrested several young people who were present in the Al-Wahda residential neighborhood in the Sheikh Othman district. They abducted them suddenly without knowing the reason.

The sources explained that the gunmen abducted the young people under the threat of weapons and transported them in the vehicle.

The families of the abductees do not know the destination they were taken abducted to.

Aden has been witnessing a deterioration of security due to the spread of armed factions with multiple foreign loyalties amid the absence of state authorities since the beginning of 2016.
