WORLD, Jan. 18 (YPA) – Former US ambassador to Saudi Arabia, David Rundell, and the former political advisor to the US Central Command, Michael Gfoeller, stated that NATO weapons failed to support Ukraine’s counterattack.
“NATO’s advanced weapons, such as HIMARS missiles and Leopard tanks, failed to support Ukraine’s counterattack,” Newsweek Magazine reported, citing both officials.
The economic sanctions against Russia did not change the situation or the outcome of the conflict in favor of Ukraine, they said, adding “Instead, Russia managed to overcome the sanctions through the effective use of “gold, grains, oil, and friendly allies.”
The officials emphasized that Kiev is currently facing shortages in manpower, funds, ammunition, and time.
They added, “The West must stop funding a man who has a leaky pocket.”
