Over 20 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on Khan Younis, Rafah

GAZA, Jan. 17 (YPA) – Over 20 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting the western part of Khan Younis and the central part of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian sources reported on Wednesday.

According to the sources, the death toll from the Israeli airstrikes on homes in the western part of Khan Younis has risen to 13 martyrs.

Israeli military helicopters also bombed the western part of Khan Younis, in conjunction with intense artillery shelling in the neighborhoods near the Nasser Medical Complex.

Moreover, eight Palestinians, including two children, were killed, and dozens were injured in an airstrike that targeted a house in central Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

As the death toll continues to rise, the number of people killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7 has so far risen to 24,285. At least 61,154 people were wounded and thousands were reported missing.
