ATHENS, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The “Marine Traffic” website reported on Sunday that the US aircraft carrier “USS Gerald Ford” conducted a patrol in the eastern Mediterranean after anchoring for five days at the Souda Bay base on the Greek island of Crete.
The website indicated that the aircraft carrier is currently in the Aegean Sea.
The US guided missile cruiser “USS Normandy,” part of the aircraft carrier battle group led by the aircraft carrier USS Gerald Ford, also left the Greek port of Piraeus, according to the website.
Last week, the Pentagon announced an extension of the aircraft carrier’s stay in the Mediterranean Sea against the backdrop of what the Zionist entity is doing in the Gaza Strip.
The US Central Command announced earlier this month that the destroyer “USS Laboon” is present in the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet area of operations to provide security in the Middle East.
