Meteorology Center warns of frost formation in five Yemeni governorates

SANAA, Dec. 07 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology on Thursday warned of the continuation of cold air mass in mountainous provinces, parts of the interior plateaus, and deserts.

The center expected the weather to be cold to very cold in the mountainous governorates, especially the mountain basins of the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, and Bayda, with the formation of frost on separate parts of them.

According to the center, the weather will be cold to relatively cold in the high areas of the governorates of Dhalea, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, west of Marib, and west Jawf, and the weather may be dry and relatively cold in general in desert areas during the night and early morning hours.

The center called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients, and workers during the night and early morning hours, to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves from cold weather. It urged farmers to take precautions against cold weather to protect their crops.
