In gratitude for Moscow’s position in support of Palestine, Al-Qassam Brigades release Russian detainee within the third batch
WORLD, Nov. 27 (YPA) – The Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas”, on Sunday evening, handed over a detainee with Russian citizenship to the Red Cross, as part of the third batch of the exchange deal with the Zionist enemy entity.
Hamas announced the release of a Russian citizen in its custody “in gratitude for Russia’s position in support of the Palestinian cause.”
“Al-Qassam Brigades have handed over a detainee holding Russian citizenship to the Red Cross, following an intervention by the Russian President,” the group said in a statement.
Hamas handed over to the Red Cross 13 Zionist prisoners, three Thai detainees, and one Russian.
According to the British newspaper “Telegraph”, Iran played a role in the release of ten Thai prisoners held by the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip.
The paper explained that Tehran facilitated their release at the request of the Thai Foreign Ministry and the presidency of the country’s parliament.
