Yafea tribes turn against STC, announce their armed advance towards Aden

LAHJ, Nov. 25 (YPA) – Al-Hadd tribes in Yafea district of Lahj province announced on Saturday their armed mobilization against the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and move towards the city of Aden, which is controlled by factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition.

Dozens of armed tribesmen from the Al-Hadd tribes gathered in Al-Mahaji market in the Yafea district to march towards Aden to release one of its sons who was kidnapped and forcibly disappeared in the prisons of the STC, Khaled Abdulnasser Al-Haddi Al-Yafe’i.

Khaled, who works as “Director of Public Relations in the Military Industrialization Department” at the Ministry of Defense loyal to the coalition, was kidnapped by members of the STC early last October in Al-Tawahi area.

Al-Haddi tribes of Yafea accuse STC members of kidnapping and forcibly disappearing their son, Khaled Al-Haddi Al-Yafe’i, and subjecting him to torture, without mentioning the reasons.
