Israeli occupation assassinates son of Hezbollah prominent leader

BEIRUT, Nov. 23 (YPA) – In a dangerous step that could open the door to a major escalation. On Wednesday, the Zionist enemy forces carried out an assassination operation against the son of a prominent leader in the Lebanese Hezbollah.

Hezbollah officially mourned five of its fighters, including the son of the head of the Wafa bloc in the Lebanese parliament, who were killed in  Zionist airstrikes in southern Lebanon.

 Hezbollah issued the following statements:

“With greater pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance exalts the martyr fighter Abbas Mohammed Raad “Siraj,” from the town of Jbaa in south Lebanon, who rose as a martyr on the road to Al-Quds.”

“With greater pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance exalts the martyr fighter Bassam Ali Kenjo “Abu Hussain Thaer,” from the town of Shaqra in south Lebanon, who rose as a martyr on the road to Al-Quds.

“With greater pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance exalts the martyr fighter Mohammed Hassan Ahmed Sherri “Karbala,” from the town of Kherbet Selem in south Lebanon, who rose as a martyr on the road to Al-Quds.

“With greater pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance exalts the martyr fighter Ahmad Hassan Mustafa “Malak Houla,” [Houla’s angel] from the town of Houla in south Lebanon, who rose as a martyr on the road to Al-Quds.”

“With greater pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance exalts the martyr fighter Khalil Jawad Shhimi “Siraj,” from the town of Markaba in south Lebanon, who rose as a martyr on the road to Al-Quds.”

Hebrew media had earlier reported that Israeli warplanes had carried out an assassination in southern Lebanon.
