ABYAN, Oct. 28 (YPA) – The international coastal road linking Abyan province to the provinces of Shabwa and Hadramout, controlled by Saudi-led coalition, was cut off during the past hours, local sources said on Saturday.
The sources stated that torrential rains caused the interruption of the international line in the coastal area of Ahwar yesterday, Friday, which was under the effects of Cyclone “Tej”.
The rainfall left three people injured as a result of the collapse of a wall on houses made of straw inhabited by displaced people from Modiya district and Hodeida province, the sources added.
The injuries of the displaced citizens were serious and they were transferred to a health center, without any food or shelter assistance being provided by the pro-coalition authorities to those affected by Cyclone Tej in the coastal districts of Abyan, according to the sources.
