Egyptian Committee sends flour to Gaza to support bakeries

GAZA, Oct. 24 (YPA) –The Egyptian Committee in the Gaza Strip announced late Friday that it had begun dispatching trucks loaded with flour into the territory to ease shortages, curb rising bread prices, and support local bakeries in maintaining production and providing bread at affordable prices.

In a statement, the committee said the move comes amid acute flour shortages and rising living costs for Palestinian families.

It added that the shipments aim to help bakeries sustain production, ease the impact of the crisis, and prevent unjustified price hikes and the exploitation of residents’ needs.

The committee said the flour deliveries are part of Egypt’s humanitarian efforts to support Palestinians in Gaza and ease the suffering of residents facing difficult living conditions.

It also pledged to continue its humanitarian and field efforts in coordination with relevant authorities and UN agencies to address urgent needs and respond to residents’ appeals.

The committee reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Palestinian families and helping provide essential supplies across the territory.
