Spokesman for Mahra sit-in committee reveals latest developments of Cyclone Tig

MAHRA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – The spokesman for the Mahra sit-in committee opposing the foreign occupation in the province, Ali Mubarak Mahamed, said, “The people of Mahra have been going through difficult times that require everyone to come together.”

“The situation is a catastrophic in the city of Al-Ghaydah, the center of the governorate, and the Huswain district, due to Cyclone Tej,” Mahamed said in a post on his “X” account on Monday.

He pointed out that during the past hours, various areas of Mahra witnessed heavy rains and strong winds, which led to the interruption of the telecommunication network in Huswain.

Mahame called on citizens to adhere to the instructions and guidelines for security and safety measures regarding natural disaster.

It is worth mentioning that “Saudi Arabia and the UAE,” whose armed factions control the southern and eastern governorates of Yemen, did not provide any food or shelter assistance to the citizens in Socotra, Mahra, and Hadhramaut to confront Hurricane “Tej.”
