WORLD, Oct. 14 (YPA) – The Israeli “Channel 12” revealed that the Al-Qassam Brigades managed last Saturday to target an Israeli CH-53 Yasur helicopter, carrying 50 soldiers on board, in the first hours of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation to take control of the settlement of Be’eri in the Gaza envelope.
According to the channel, the elite fighters in al- Qassam Brigades shot the plane’s engine, forcing the plane to land, and then it was targeted with anti-tank missiles.
“Israel” continues to confine details regarding the fate of the soldiers on board.
The Yasur helo is the common name for a class of heavy transport helicopters manufactured by the American company “Sikorsky”. It was developed for the US Marines, and used by US, German, Israeli, and Mexican forces.
