The Washington Post: Al-Aqsa Flood Operation shows most serious security failure of ‘Isreal’

WORLD, Oct. 08 (YPA) – The operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” surprised the Zionist enemy army and its intelligence services, and raised bitter accusations after months of warnings from security officials about the deterioration of the entity’s deterrence capacity, The Washington Post reported, considering it the most serious Zionist security failure since the Yom Kippur War.

Yossi Verter, a writer for the Zionist newspaper Haaretz, wrote. “Israel was humiliated and defeated today.”

Referring to the war between the Zionist entity and Egypt and Syria in 1973, he added: “Even if Gaza is destroyed, this will not compensate for the most serious security failure since the Yom Kippur War.”

While Hamas and Islamic Jihad routinely used a range of raw and sophisticated rockets to target Israel, “the scale and scope of Saturday’s barrage of rockets was unparalleled,” the newspaper said.

Even more shocking is that Palestinians managed to overrun 22 Zionist communities in the south, including some communities that remained under siege late Saturday.
