Meteorology expects weather tends to be cold in Yemen

SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology affirmed that clear weather will tend to be cold in several mountainous province of Yemen.

In its weather bulletin on Saturday, the center expected rain of varying intensity to fall on parts of the highlands of the provinces of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan and Dhalea.

According to the center, active to strong winds will blow around the Socotra Archipelago, ranging in speed between 15-25 knots, working to disturb the sea and raise waves, with light to moderate winds targeting the eastern and southern coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, reaching between 08-18 knots.

It pointed out that the weather in the desert areas may be clear to partly cloudy, with maximum temperatures going between 34 – 38 degrees Celsius.

The center called on motorists to drive carefully on the mountainous areas as a result of the reduced horizontal visibility.
