Entire militray brigade defected from STC in Shabwa

SHABWA, Sept. 26 (YPA) – A number of leaders and members of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions announced on Monday their  defection in Shabwa province, southeastern Yemen.

Yemeni activists posted on social media a video footage showing members of the STC’s Seventh Thunderbolt Brigade declaring rebellion against the leadership of the STC, as a result of what they described as marginalization and exclusion.

The video shows warnings issued by commanders and officers in the brigade’s first battalion against continuing to marginalize the council’s military bases in the oil-rich  province.
