Dangerous epidemic spreads in Shabwa, kills residents

SHABWA, Sept. 19 (YPA) – Diseases and epidemics spread among population of the city of Ataq, the center of Shabwa province.

The health office in Shabwa revealed in a statement that there have been four cases of dengue fever deaths since the beginning of last August.

The Director of Health in the province, Ali al-Dheeb confirmed the spread of foci of the disease in most areas and villages of Ataq, explaining that the death age record is approximately between ”15 – 28” years.

The spread of the disease comes in the absence of health services in the oil-rich province under the control of the coalition.
