TARTOUS, Sept. 13 (YPA) – At least two soldiers were killed and six others were injured on Wednesday in an Israeli bombing targeting Syrian air defense sites in the southern countryside of Tartous, according to Syria’s news agency “SANA”.
A military source told SANA that at exactly 17:22 this afternoon, the Israeli enemy carried out an attack with missiles from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea, targeting some air defense sites in Tartous.
The source added that the bombing led to the killing of two soldiers, the wounding of six others, and some material losses.
A high-ranking security source said that Syrian air defenses responded to an Israeli aggression that attempted to target some points in the Tartous countryside.
The attack was carried out by Israeli aircraft that launched a number of missiles from international waters off the Syrian coast, according to the source.
