New southern province joins teachers’ strike list

ABYAN, Sept. 13 (YPA) – Dozens of teachers in the schools of Khanfar district in Abyan province, southern Yemen, announced on Wednesday their strike in protest against the decision of the government loyal to Saudi-led coalition to transfer their salaries through commercial banks.

The teachers expressed their widespread rejection of the decision, stressing their intention to continue the strike and hold angry demonstrations starting next Sunday.
