Sanaa calls on Paris to respect Nigerien people’s will to determine destiny

SANAA, Aug. 28 (YPA) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa called on the French government to respect the Nigerien people’s will to determine their own destiny.

In a news statement, the ministry affirmed the solidarity of the Yemeni people and the government with the people of Niger and their natural and legitimate right to self-determination and building their independent state.

It strongly condemned France’s shameful insistence on breaking the will of the people of Niger.
The statement praised the struggles of the Nigerien people for freedom, independence and the restoration of all their usurped rights.

It called on all free governments and peoples to support Niger and its oppressed people in their free tendencies to get rid of the French colonialism that deprived this country of its wealth and left it to poverty for many decades.

The ministry’s statement pointed out that the French ambassador’s rejection to leave the territory of Niger after the deadline granted by the military council expired, revealed Paris’ insistence on denying the will of the people of Niger and the desire to continue robbing the wealth of the country.
