STC reveals association between terrorist elements, Islah’s political, religious leaders

ADEN, Aug 25 (YPA) – The UAE’s Southern Transitional Council (STC) accused political and religious leaders of being behind the spread of terrorist elements in Yemen’s southern and eastern governorates.

The leader in the STC in Hadramout, Abdullah Mubarak al-Ghaithi, confirmed that the terrorist cells in “Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout” were planted by slain “President Afash”, and his assistants from the officers and sheikhs of  Islah party.

The STC factions carried out a military campaign in mid-August to cleanse the Mudiyah district of terrorist elements, during which the leader of the “Security Belt” factions, Abdul Latif Al-Sayed, was killed by an explosive device in Wadi Al-Rafdh in the same district.

Terrorist elements have been carrying out terrorist operations in Yemen in implementation of American and British interests since launching their war on Afghanistan following the events of September 11, 2001.
