LAHJ, Aug. 03 (YPA) – Gunmen affiliated with the Islah Party factions loyal to Saudi-led coalition raided on Wednesday the homes of citizens in a number of villages and the market of the Al-Maqatrah District of Lahj province, in southern Yemen.
Local media sources said that the military campaign was carried out by elements of the “Fourth Mountain Infantry Brigade,” led by Brigadier General “Abu Bakr al-Jabouli.”
This comes against the background of the explosion of explosive devices targeting security patrols of the brigade in al-Maqatirah last week.
According to the sources, the campaign led to the arrest of more than 12 residents of al-Maqatirah, while the factions continued to send summonses against dozens of residents of the area for investigation in the incident.
On July 25, an explosive device targeted a military vehicle belonging to “Salem Kalah,” a battalion commander in the “Fourth Mountain Infantry Brigade,” stationed in Tur al-Baha in Lahj province.
