Emirati writer: Abu Dhabi will not cede the coast of Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Aug 01 (YPA) -An Emirati writer and political analyst close to UAE President bin Zayed revealed his country’s intentions to continue occupying the coast of Hadramout and not to cede it to any party.

Mahmoud al-Balushi said on Twitter: “For years, we have been in the coast of Hadramout and sacrificed the finest UAE youths in the age of flowers in order to liberate Mukalla from terrorism, and today comes those who are ungrateful.”

He added: “In short, we will not give up the coast of Hadramout and will not be handed over. And Saudi Arabia must secure the valley from terrorism and the Islah militants (Muslim Brotherhood).”

The eastern province of Hadramout has been  witnessing  great tensions between the UAE-backed factions and their Saudi-backed counterparts. This tension reached  to the level of threating  to uproot the first military region of the valley under the pretext of fighting terrorism.
