Israeli occupation forces detain 19 Palestinians in Hebron, tighten restrictions across region

WEST BANK, June 15 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces detained 19 Palestinian citizens across various areas of Hebron Governorate on Sunday, intensifying their blockade on towns, villages, city entrances, and refugee camps throughout the region.

In the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, the occupation forces continued their military operations after sealing off the town’s main entrance and blocking all side, preventing residents from using the bypass road and sealing all alternative dirt routes.

According to the sources, the occupation forces deployed provocatively across neighborhoods and streets, conducting raids on homes and commercial properties, resulting in multiple arrests.

Elsewhere in Hebron city, several neighborhoods were raided, with forces blocking civilian access and vehicles from approaching the checkpoints north and south of the city that serve as key entry points to the area.

At least six Palestinians, including two brothers, were detained during the raids.

In the southern town of Dura and the surrounding areas, Israeli occupation forces carried out further detentions.

The occupation forces also stormed the town of Sa’ir, north of Hebron, detaining several citizens and preventing access to the entrance gate near the bypass road

They also tightened restrictions on the al-Fawwar and al-Arrub refugee camps.
