STC arrests prominent military commander loyal to Islah in Abyan

ABYAN, July 31 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Transitional Council (STC) has arrested a prominent military commander loyal to the Islah party in Yemen’s southern province of Abyan.

According to the media outlets , the STC forces arrested Mustafa Mahdi Al-Kazmi the staff officer of third brigade presidential protection and the commander of the joint forces in the Talh front, in Wadi Omran in Mudiyah district, east of Abyan.

Sources pointed out that the arrest of Al-Kazmi came after the escalation of attacks on the positions of the STC, with pointing an accusing finger at the party’s forces and attributing attacks carried out by al-Qaeda in Abyan.
