Iran pounds vital Israeli sites with “Fattah” missiles
TEHRAN, June 18 (YPA) -The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had gained “complete control” over Israeli skies following a wave of missile attacks.
The IRGC said in a statement that the 10th wave of the retaliatory strikes included the first generation of Fattah ballistic missiles, which have shattered the myth of invincibility of the Zionist regime’s air defense systems.
According to the statement, the powerful and maneuverable Fattah missiles have penetrated into the Israeli air defense shields and rattled the shelters of the cowards several times.
The IRGC said the latest wave of missile strikes proved that Iran has gained complete control over the skies of the occupied territories as the occupants have become totally defenseless in the face of Iran’s missile attacks.
The group said Israeli citizens are “completely defenceless” against its strikes.
In the early hours of Wednesday, Iran launched a large-scale missile barrage deep into Israeli territory, striking several key cities in the center, most notably Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, as well as Haifa in the north.
Iranian media reported that among the targets was the strategic Meron airbase in northern occupied Palestine. The strike came as part of Iran’s response to what it described as ongoing Israeli aggression.
The Iranian offensive began with a post by the Leader of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei on “X”: “In the revered name of Haydar, the battle begins; Ali returns to Khaybar with his sword Dhulfiqar. Allahu Akbar.”
In another post, Sayyed Ali Khamenei stated: “We must respond forcefully to the terrorist Zionist entity… We will never compromise with the Zionists.”
Iranian media confirmed that the attack targeted sensitive sites, including the Meron Airbase in northern occupied Palestine.
This strategic location is considered a key Israeli military installation, and its inclusion among the targets indicates a deliberate attempt by Iran to strike at the heart of Israel’s northern defense infrastructure.
