Woman tries to prevent burning copies of Quran in Denmark

WORLD, July 26 (YPA) -A woman tried to prevent the burning of copies of the holy Quran in front of the Iraqi embassy in the Danish capital Copenhagen, and police intervening on behalf of extremists, according to a video footage circulated on social media.

The woman removed the Quran from an extremist group calling itself the “Danish Patriots”, and a fistfight took place, before the police intervened. The police confronted the woman and returned the Qur’an to the group.

The burning of the Quran in Denmark in front of the Iraqi embassy continued, threatening a further deterioration in diplomatic relations between the two countries, as two people on Monday burned the Qur’an, while a far-right and anti-Islamic Danish group burned it last Friday.
