Chairman of National Bank in Aden arrested

ADEN, July. 25 (YPA) – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Governmental Bank, Dr. Muhammad Halboub, was arrested on Tuesday in the city of Aden, south of Yemen.

Sources close to the bank’s head stated that the arrest came against the backdrop of his statements about the corruption of the judiciary in the city, which is controlled by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

According to the sources, Dr. Halboub went to the prosecution based on a summons order by Arish police station regarding an interview he conducted with Radio “Hana Aden” in which he appealed to the Public Prosecutor to intervene to resolve issues related to the National Bank.
