SHABWA, July 25 (YPA) – A sea storm at high-speed hit the coastal area of Arqa in Radhum district of Shabwa governorate, local sources reported on Monday.
According to local sources in the governorate, the storm caused damage to some citizens’ homes, and the destruction of solar energy systems, in addition to damage to the property and boats of fishermen.
No human casualties have been reported so far, the sources said.
According to sources, the search is still underway for some boats and engines belonging to fishermen.
This storm comes in conjunction with strong winds accompanied by a rainy thunderstorm that hit Aden, which caused damage to public and private property in addition to causing significant damage to Aden airport.
A number of passengers, including children, were injured, and two flights from Aden to Jeddah and Cairo airports were postponed as a result.
