Insan organization condemns abduction, torture of mentally ill man to death in Taiz

TAIZ, July 24 (YPA) – Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms condemned on Monday the kidnapping of a citizen and torturing him until he died in the Saudi-led coalition -controlled areas in Taiz Governorate.

The organization said in a statement that Abdul Rahman Thabet, from the Maqbana district, was suffering from a mental illness, and he was kidnapped and hidden for more than a month before he died as a result of torture.

The statement pointed out that the areas which are under the control of the coalition forces have been witnessing an increase in the number of kidnappings and killings, the latest of which was the assassination of the head of the World Food Program team.
