Marib lives in complete darkness

MARIB, July 23 (YPA) – The city of Marib, northeast of Yemen, is witnessing complete darkness since dawn Sunday, due to the outage of the gas station in the city of Marib from service and a complete power outage in the center of the governorate and its districts.

A source at Marib electricity cooperation said in press statements that a technical team is working to fix the technical defect that hit Marib gas station as a result of the turbine stopping.

Marib gas has been out of service from time to time due to technical malfunctions, since Aggreko Energy stopped supplying Marib with electric power at the end of last year.
