SHABWA, July. 10 (YPA) – Armed clashes erupted on Monday near one of the camps of the UAE-funded al-Amaliqa forces (Giants) in the oil-producing Shabwa province, eastern Yemen.
Local sources in the province said, the clashes between armed tribes of Al-Magarha and Al-Hadi Al-Nassien broke out in Lower Markah district due to tribal feuds, indicating that the leadership of Giants forces did not intervene to stop the confrontations.
The sources did not refer to the human losses between the two parties.
The security chaos and tribal revenges widened between the various tribes of Shabwa after the UAE brought in the “Giant” factions from the provinces of Dhalea and Lahj, and recruited them to the so-called Shabwa Defense forces.
The leaders of the Emirati-funded factions encouraged to acts of revenge between the tribes of Shabwa and supported some of them with weapons, adopting a policy of striking the tribes against each other in order to ensure their survival in the province.
