Sanaa government discusses implementation of first national project to link provinces

SANAA, July 10 (YPA) – The Sanaa government discussed on Monday the implementation of the first national project to link provinces, the “Manakhah Tunnel” Project, which aims to reduce the Sanaa-Hodeida road by eight kilometers.

This came during a meeting that included Minister of Local Administration Ali bin Ali al-Qaisi, Minister of Public Works and Roads Ghaleb Mutlaq, Minister of Transport Abdulwahab al-Durra, Deputy Minister of Local Administration Dr. Qassim Al-Homran, and Mahweet Governor Honain Qatina.

“Around 16 billion riyals have been allocated for road and maintenance projects in several provinces, following revolutionary and political leadership directives,” the Minister of Local Administration said.

The Minister of Public Works emphasized the importance of coordination and cooperation between the Ministry of Public Works and local authority agencies to achieve the public interest.

For his part, the Minister of Transport noted that the Manakhah Tunnel Project, which reduces the Sanaa-Hodeida Road by eight kilometers, saves significant effort in the transportation process.
