Two people killed after fire engulfs oil platform in Mexico

WORLD, July 08 (YPA) – Two people have been killed and a third one  is missing after a fire broke out at an offshore platform run by Mexican state oil company Pemex.

A massive fire broke out on the offshore platform run by Mexican state oil company Pemex, located  off the southern edge of the Gulf of Mexico.

Earlier, the company said 6 people were injured in the fire, noting that 321 employees out of 328 were evacuated.

Local media reported on Friday that an explosion was heard and followed by a massive fire.
