NATO makes pledges on accession of Ukraine

WORLD, July 08 (YPA) – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said at a press conference in Brussels, on Friday, that  the alliance would show unity at next week’s summit on ways to bring Kiev closer to membership.

Stoltenberg reiterated his view that Ukraine would one day become a member of the alliance.

Speaking at a news conference in Brussels, the NATO chief said: “Our summit will send a clear message that NATO is united.”

The NATO chief comments come as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rallies support for his country’s accession to the alliance in a tour of a number of member states.
