WORLD, July 08 (YPA) – The governor of Russia’s Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, said that the region’s air defense forces were able to detect and destroy two Ukrainian drones.
A thunder-like sound was heard in Voronezh at around 23:30 Moscow time on Friday.
“Air defense systems on approach to Voronezh have identified and destroyed two UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles]. There were no casualties, injuries or damage,” Gusev said on Telegram.
Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russian air defenses thwarted a terrorist attack of 5 Ukrainian drones in the New Moscow region and the outskirts of Moscow.
“Our air defense systems destroyed four Ukrainian drones in the New Moscow region. Another drone with electronic defense means was shot down in the Odintsovo region on the outskirts of Moscow,” the ministry said in a statement.
