Girl drowned to death in Mahweet

MAHWEET, June 27 (YPA) – A 30-year-old woman drowned on Sunday to death in Malhan district in Mahweet province.

An official source said that the young woman drowned while fetching water from a small water barrier.

A team of the Civil Defense Authority in the province said that the body of the woman was recovered, calling on citizens to abide by the instructions related to sheltering from thunderbolts and turning off electrical appliances and mobile phones in order to preserve their lives.

The incident came in light of the continuing warnings of the Civil Defense Authority not to go to dams and water barriers that pose a threat to life.
