NEW YORK, June 26 (YPA) – The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) affirmed on Monday that malnutrition is a constant threat to millions of children in Yemen.

Earlier, the Program stated that parents in Yemen facing the agonizing choice of selling their possessions for medical care or feeding their children.

In the other hand, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said that more than 2 million children in Yemen are suffering from acute malnutrition, stressing that the conflict has destroyed the lives of millions of children.

The UNICEF noted that the lives of millions of vulnerable children in Yemen remain at risk due to the consequences of the harsh and ongoing war that are difficult to imagine or bear.

The nine-year old war launched by the coalition against Yemen has caused the worst humanitarian crisis in modern times, especially in light of the continued land, sea and air blockade imposed on Yemen.
