SANAA, June 08 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected on Thursday scattered showers prevailing over several Yemeni provinces.
In a weather forecast, the center affirmed that the rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, would fall over parts of the provinces of Hajjah, Mahweet, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Bayda, Dhalea, and Hadramout, in addition Abyan, Shabwa and Socotra archipelago.
High temperatures are expected on desert and coastal areas, where maximum temperatures may range between 36-42 degrees Celsius.
The center warned citizens against being present in the water ways and valleys during and after the rains, as well as the noticeable decrease in the horizontal visibility on the mountain roads.
It urged citizens to to take the necessary precautions against sunshine in desert and coastal areas.
