KHARTOUM, June 03 (YPA) – The Sudanese capital, Khartoum has witnessed a series of sporadic clashes in separate places as the army fired artillery shells heavily from Omdurman.
Plumes of smoke seen rising in the center of the capital Khartoum, as fighting turned into the scene between the two sides.
Field sources in the city of Omdurman said heavy artillery shelling targeted distant positions of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The same sources pointed out that in the late hours of last night, artillery shelling was heard in the Omdurman area, specifically in the Mohandessin area.
Riyadh and Washington have suspended the Jeddah talks on Sudan as a result of repeated violations of the ceasefire by army forces and RSF.
