Mahra’s people announce their readiness to defend it by all means

MAHRA, May 31 (YPA) – The sit-in committee opposing the foreign presence in Mahra province, eastern Yemen, announced on Wednesday its readiness to defend and protect the province by all available means.

The committee confirmed its stand against any external interference and that it would thwart any plans that try to drag the province into a square of violence and conflicts.

“The movements of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) are monitored and will fail as they failed in previous times,” said Saeed Afri, head of the political department in the sit-in committee, during a meeting held by the committee yesterday, Tuesday.

Afri called on the people of Mahra to stand united behind their leaders to maintain security and social peace and spare the province from chaos, sabotage, and conflicts.

The sit-in committee had approved an action plan for the new phase of escalation and cohesion with the masses to thwart the conspiracies, plans, and ambitions that are hatched against Mahra.
