US dollar exceeds barriers of 1,300 Yemeni riyals in southern provinces

SANAA, May 23 (YPA) – The Yemeni riyal recorded on Tuesday a new low against foreign currencies in financial transactions in the southern and eastern provinces controlled by the Saudi-led coalition.

The US dollar exchange rate in the southern province of Aden reached 1,307 riyals, while the Saudi riyal exchange rate reached 344 riyals.

In Sanaa, the Yemeni riyal remained stable at 532 riyals per dollar and 142 riyals per Saudi riyal due to a series of steps implemented by the Sanaa government last year to ensure currency stability.
