SANAA, July 22 (YPA) – The Sanaa-based Customs Authority said on Tuesday that it had resumed implementation of the decision the Ministers of Finance and Economy and Industry issued regarding support for local products.
In a statement, the Authority affirmed that the decision came as part of the state’s efforts to support local products and encourage national production, within the framework of the policy of localizing industries.
The statement highlighted the importance of the decision in strengthening the national economy by protecting local industries and encouraging their growth and expansion.
According to the statement, the decision included an amendment to the customs tariff on some imports, with the exception of production inputs for registered local manufacturers exempt from the general tax, ensuring the continuity of production without impacting the local supply chain.
