Yemen to witness light to heavy rains in coming hours

SANAA, May 23 (YPA) – Most of the Yemeni provinces will witness the light and heavy rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, during the coming 24 hours.

The National Center of Meteorology expected, in its weather bulletin on Tuesday, that the rainfall over the western highlands of the provinces of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet, Amran, Sanaa, Rayma, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Dhalea and Bayda.

It pointed to rain would be likely on the internal plateaus of the Shabwa, north of Abyan, the Hadramout and Mahra highlands, as well as the Socotra archipelago and parts of the western coasts.

The center called on citizens take away from the water ways and valleys in the rainy areas during and after the rains.
