Sanaa affirms its forces’ readiness to defend Yemen’s unity

SANAA, May 21 (YPA) – Minister of Defense of the Sanaa government, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Atefi, and the Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Abdul-Karim Al-Ghamari, affirmed the readiness of the Sanaa forces for all options to defend Yemen’s unity and sovereignty.

This came during a congratulatory cable they submitted on Sunday to the leader of the Yemeni revolution, Sayyed Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, on the occasion of the 33rd National Day of the Republic of Yemen’s unity, May 22.

In the cable, they said the unity of Yemen and the safety of its lands are a red line, stressing that Sanaa’s readiness for peace and the war.

The cable indicated that the enemies seeking to tear up national unity and impede progress in the humanitarian file, in addition to continue the unjust siege on the Yemeni people.

It added that the current opportunity for peace would be the last for the enemies, because after that the final word to be for the armed forces of all kinds and formations.
