Civilians injured in Mahweet cooking gas cylinder blasts

MAHWEET, May 10 (YPA) – Five people, including three children, were injured on Tuesday when a cooking gas cylinder exploded in Mahweet province.

Major Adel Essa, a director of the Civil Defense authority’s branch in the province, explained that the cause of the explosion was the result of negligence and failure to install the gas regulator in a secure manner.

He pointed out that the residents transported the injured to the hospital after putting out the fire that broke out in one of houses of the village of Beit Al-Nawwar, Bani Al-Ghaifi.
