Health condition of “Sheikh Ali bin Essa al-Afar” deteriorated in Abu Dhabi prison

SOCOTRA, May 05 (YPA) -Informed sources confirmed the deterioration of health condition of the prominent tribal sheikh in the General People’s Congress (GPC) , Ali bin Essa al-Afar, who is being held inside an Emirati prison in the capital, Abu Dhabi, after his arrest at the land border crossing with the Sultanate of Oman, last March.

Local sources said that “a number of notables of Socotra called on the Emirati representative Khalfan Al Mazrouei to reveal the fate of kidnapped Sheikh Ali bin Essa al-Afrar.”

Sources confirmed that the demands of the sheikhs and notables of Socotra came reports confirms the deterioration of health condition of Ali bin Essa al-Afrar, inside one of the prisons in Abu Dhabi since last March.

They pointed out that the notables of Socotra, held the Emirati delegate “Al-Mazrouei” responsible  for the life of Ali bin Essa al-Afrar.

It is noteworthy that the UAE authorities kidnapped Sheikh Ali bin Essa after he left Abu Dhabi by land at the land border crossing with the Sultanate of Oman, accompanied by Ahmed Saeed bin Hammad, “Emirati national”, who were on their way to Socotra, based on a note from “Al Mazrouei” in Socotra.
